I know there are like 500 posts about this but not one definitive answer so I figured I'd see what popular opinion and thought came up with. In a direct drive chevy 350,what carburetor is best overall? Changing my setup soon and am stuck on a couple of different thoughts. Currently running an edelbrock 600 four barrel.

Been there myself. Maybe someone on here that has one sitting around doing nothing will help you out.

Haha that just may work. I'll be building another towards the middle of the year so that will be the one that makes some power.

Up in Cedar Key before I had an airboat the wife would tag along on a 3 plus mile trek thru sawgrass and mud to a redfish hole. After a few trips I told her "ya know if we had a airboat we could just ride here." She thought about that for a while and agreed to a build.

We went DD and got stuck a time or three on sticky grass with a full load, that was it....GET A GEAR DRIVE, I AIN'T PUSHING !

A 542 cubic inch engine mated to a 2.37 ratio gear drive with 4 S blades and everyone is happy...lol

Great advice.....

Sometimes it's about enjoying all that's around you and the moment.

Note: For others there are gear drives, boost, strippers and nitrous oxide.

Warning: Do not combine all ingredients that nitrous can get expensive...lol

All good tips. I've been through countless old posts on here about dd boats. This thing rides great. It handles wakes in the canal like a tank. I just know it has a little more potential in it. It's pretty bare bones and not the correct combo right now. I'm changing props (currently wood) going to carbon, moving some stuff around with the rigging, changing engine pitch, changing intake manifolds, carb, cam and then heads. When I build the next boat I'm aiming for a setup that I won't have any worry about hopefully.

It runs decent now. I can pull up and turn around usually and the. Get back in the water when I leave in some places. Just gotta work the bugs out. Especially for what little $$ I have in this thing.
