Post by Justacreepin »

About to build LQ4 for 13ft rivermaster. DD app, any input from anyone? How will it perform?

It will do better with a gearbox. 8) So tell us how you intend to use it. Where are you going to ride? Are you using polymer or slick bottom? What type of rigging? How many people are you going to carry? What type of prop? Carburetor or fuel injection? Where did you get the motor from? Are you doing any upgrades to the motor?

I'd let her eat and find out how well she runs. 8) Shouldn't be any worse than the 350 DD. I would use the truck intake manifold. Might also make sense to do a cam change to get a little more torque below 3,000 RPMs.

X2

They are good engines. I'm happy with my stock one but I've got a gearbox to supplement it.
