Just wondering if anybody ever experimented with a oil system for the gear boxes instead of the heavy gear oil contained in the drive, seams like you could free up some horsepower and maybe quiet down the drive with a pumped supply of lighter weight oil constantly flowing over the gears ?

That's the Max Drive! Only four known to exist and have no idea who has them. 10k drive is a little rich though for most.
That's 5 rotators, 4.? stingers, 3 ox's - 2 partridge in a pear tree

With the advent of the new synthetic gear oils it is fast becoming less an issue Mudkat.

Weight and cost vs gain is probably a part of the reason why it is not a common modification.
