350sbc reduction ID help
After much internet search and a long talk with the guys at whirlwind I’m not sure what I have and what I need. I was shopping for a new prop for my first boat and spoke with whirlwind and they weren’t sure exactly what kind of reduction I had so I’m hoping I can get some input.
I have an 84 panther with a 350 sbc and some sort of reduction. The only markings I can find are for Warner gear division Muncie Indiana and The number F1-68 stamped on the the housing.
Hoping I can get some input on what it is and what the reduction would be or any other info Thanks in advance!

Much appreciated ! That helps a lot. Now I can finally get a prop ordered. Now just to figure out my starter issues. Tried the three different 350 sbc starters and can’t seem to get a good fit. They are all staying engaged tearing up the flex plate.

On the older blocks it was sometimes necessary to add shims under the starter to get proper clearance. You should be able to find them at NAPA.Bowhnt wrote:Much appreciated ! That helps a lot. He'll cut your throat, baby, stick you in the back, drive off in your Cadillac.
He's more trouble than you think, he'll kill your sugar, leave you in the drink.

No one has more hours on a Roberts than the (Turtle) screen name PONTOON OUTLAW !
That dude has put the Roberts drive to the test it is mated to a Branch Series 3, 507 cubic inch Cadillac.
