Of course, now I realize how much more work it’s going to be to fit this engine package in my boat. The gearbox and Maximus prop means I will need 43” front to back. My current package is only 29” front to back The seat stand has to go at least 10” forward. I will have to cut the front hoop out of the cage to let the motor pass thru it. Now I’m wondering if I shouldn’t just build all new rigging or a whole new boat.. I have been looking for a hull but have not found one that will work for me.

Don't laugh too hard about the test stand. I have been raiding my scrap pile :D . I'm determined not to buy anything to make it.

And in case you are wondering I have spent about $7,200 so far. That does not include any tools. And I still have not ordered my Prop. I also have not purchased a radiator or expansion tank. If I do the swap into the dragonfly I still have to buy misc exhaust stuff and some misc stainless. I believe I have everything else.

I thought I had got a good deal on some quality silicon radiator hose. Now I’m not so sure. Too damn flexible. And thin wall.

426 lb. Motor, gearbox, harness, starter, alternator.... basically completely dressed..... PCM, little bit of intercooler, piping, motor oil, gearbox oil, front motor mounts. Subtract 9 lb for chain, quick links, and lifting brackets. That puts it at 417 lb. The cheap scale was only two pounds over my bathroom scale for my weight at 179# so I think it’s fairly close.

I pulled the motor off the test stand and finished welding it up. Have all the wires and fuel lines run for a startup. I think all I have left to do is the intercooler piping before I crank it. Or try to crank it🤓

Looking good! Before you try and crank it over I recommend turning off the DTC that you know you won't be needed. Once you start it all those ones will be stuck on there. I went through this before. Was a pain in the butt.

What do you mean turn off the DTC? You mean clear the codes before I start it?

No sir youre. going to need something like hp tuners or efi live. Than you have to go in to the tune and disable the DTC you won't be needing. There's several. I have close to 50 of mine disabled. Stuff like anti lock brakes. Body control module. Theft deterrent start enable. It may not even start with out doing some of these. Brake switch. The list goes on and on. They made it where you can't just clear codes anymore. I believe they started this in 2012 so what ever doesn't get disabled will be set. And some things you may not ever be able to get off once set.

10-4. I didn’t know there were things that may not be able to be cleared. It’s supposed to be a “stand alone” tune but it was still made to be in a car. Im going to order HP TUNERS this morning.

Well. Intercooler piping tacked together. I will have to seek a real welder to get this finished🙂.
