Wounded warriors gator hunt, MCSAA

Postby twistedscott » Sat Aug 03, 2013 9:52 pm

The Marion county sportsmen and airboaters association would like to give a big thank you to everybody that came out last night to the Ocklawaha prarie for the hunt. every warrior had grin and a story about their hunt that will last a life time. and a thanks to the FWC and SJWM in their help to get this done for these brave men and women. we fill all 11 tags before midnight, the smallest was 7.5 and the largest was 10'9" we did harest six gators at 10 foot.
We think our story will be in Sunday Ocala star banner with any luck I will post the web address tomorrow if it is. and I do have pics on the face book page ( everytime I try to post it here I screw up ) with more to follow as other people send them to me.
Again thanks you so very much. :wav:

The most memorable event I took away from this hunt was the look on a Wounded Warriors face as the airboat captain and mate recounted the dispatching of the gator by axe after dropping the bangstick head overboard. This was done by a Warrior that lost a leg in service of our freedom. Dont get no better!!!
