Yes, Brewster was one of a kind. One hell of a guy to be around and a book could have been wrote about him. He was as excellent writer and could keep you laughing for hours.
RIP happy wind through your cage. Henry

Re: Remembering Dusty
Anybody have that video of him when he was stuck but was working that rudder and engine for all it had? That was funny.

Re: Remembering Dusty
my fav, most old timers on SA knew that Dusty was larger than life we photshop war, stir the a/c versus carmotor etc but he helped start CFASC club along with Plum Crazy, Nomad, Swampy, Osceloa Swampy to name a few, making all the tshirts with our SA handle on them Howl at the Moon, Spring Fling Skeeters ride were just the best

Re: Remembering Dusty
I first met Dusty at one of the rally/events at Loughmans when we first joined SA. My then 5 y/o son was admiring the big man's sled in awe of the Confederate flag/Cracker theme. We had parked next to him and he had my son wrapped up in a typical D-Brewster tale (kid friendly) of course! Only knowing the big guy for all of a few minutes or so and I felt like I knew him for years, truly a great guy! Of course having an av-gas burning Lycoming then he tolerated me and my son on several rides. I was recently just thinking about how bad he would harass me since I switched over to one of them water pumper boats he was so fond of!!!!
Keep sliding Big man, miss the banter and photo shopped pics!!!

Re: Remembering Dusty
Many years back i traded my cline hull airboat for dustys 2.5 ton buggy. i didnt know him at the time and i agreed to let him test drive it. Worried about letting a stranger run my boat we agreed to meet on a flooded pasture off of lox road. It was roughly 40 acres and recently flooded so it was perfect running. It did have one tree in the middle and i didnt think much about it. Wouldnt you know dusty found a way to hit that only tree with a glancing blow to the cage! It was very minor but we both got a laugh out of it. We ended up doing the trade and saw each other off and on over the years and always got a chuckle about his first test ride. Just thought i would share this.
