Re: Thursday Night Thunder!!!
You should have seen that sunset last night . You could not imagine it as we did , the glistening horizontal clouds and gleaming sunset with a mixture of orange and blue .
The trees had their mixture of spectators with that imaginary line that that no one talks about. But that didn't stop us at all , a little airboat get together , a nice little bond fire that kept us warm and to stave off some of those pesky mosquitoes. With the King down in the hull adjusting the jacks and later a little TnT , I would say a little more ultra fine tuning and that Black panther is going to be combination to reckon with. Oh that pretty new deck over , just toying with the crowd and no takers . But the night was about just being out there and enjoying the hint of cool weather the warmth of a good fire and good people to make it all worth the trip . The woods ,the swamp the bumpy trails, a look at what is to come . The water is going down and we're thinking about taken a degree of pitch out until the grass starts to brown. Another great TnT night so far back and yet so close to our inner selves with nature.

It was no TnT last night but the night wasn't a complete wash. Well me and the little Swamp nugget got out a little early, first at the landing and no one else in sight.
It must have been all the ghosts and goblins that kept all at bay .
Well last week Ol Pontoon said it was a little muddy half way past Mikes' and to the Roost . Oh my gosh is was a bog, it must have been a foot deep. I felt those goblins sucking me down fast, nervous and me out in the back and no one else in sight.
She started to buck and groan , little sheen of water here and there the mud ( the goblins) started to role around the hull and pushing up the around the front. I noticed some brush and tree limbs close by , oh my saving grace I thought. A little kick to the boat and we pushed forward . Finally on top and stabbed it and we continued on . This little set back was no issue with the little nugget but in my mind I was thinking ,what was to come more goblins to suck me down into the gruel. Well all was good just a little more to the Roost. A trace of water and a heavy foot and we left those goblins to ambush their next victim . At the roost to a nice manicured camp nicely trimmed and ready for the big bad hunters to stake the tents and bring home a trophy . Time to head out and venture on , to Moccasin I say. A lonely sight up on the island, no one there , Great I say time to have a cold one and listen to the solitary sounds of the wind and ripples of Lake Winder.
Time to go, A couple revolutions and she shook the ground letting the goblins know that we where on our way . Heading to the trees just to come up on a desolate spot , no other boats to be seen . Well I say I won't let this daunt us from enjoying the night in what we all love, the ability to gain a foot in to the wild and take part of the nature that surrounds us . A few fellow airboaters to stroll in and together we tamed the night , Goblins to the north and chupacabras to the south all at bay as we conversed to no end. What an enjoyable night. The creatures of the night put to sleep and time for us do the same.

Chillin with friends
Chillin with friends, We struck out north into the wilderness of our own back yard . The weather was great as anticipated. A little fishing and then chasen a few neighborly four legged friends just to pass the time . Finely stopping at the landing and to see the gathering of fellow swamp buddies converging from the smell of good Barbeque. It was a nice calm night , and you couldn't have seen a better sunset . Good food and good conversations. Not to late and all made to their trailers with no issues . Thanks SJRAA for a another great night to remember.
