We talked to Pam at GTO-Keith is at home-hurt his back-but had SOMEONE watching over him! He flew his little boat yesterday.

Thanks guys for the well wishes. Looks like I'll be ok to race another day. I didn't know you could barrel roll an airboat while it was in the air. B-white is correct...was just tuning the boat. We made 7 passes prior to the accident and the boat was looking good. Unfortunately, the boat got a little sideways at the end of the run and I didn't realize the boat was air born, I stabbed the throttle to straighten it out and the boat torqued over into a barrel roll and landed topside the cage on top of me. Boat is totally destroyed.....me, I have a fractured vertebrate and some cuts and bruises. I appreciated the concerns from my extended airboating family. Time heals all wounds, :blackeye: money heals broken airboat.

Side note: A life jacket and a helmet will save your life! :salute:

Keith, you scared the bee-jesus out of me when we got the phone call. I am happy to hear you are going to be ok!! We said quite a few prayers for you around here. As for your boat I'm sorry on that as well I know how hard you worked on it - but look at it like this - now is your opportunity to get it right and go A/C instead of C/M. LOL!! Just bustin your chops!! Let us know if you need anything. Diane and Allen.

Glad you lived through it ... many don't. Yep it is the attempted sudden stop that really hurts .. I say attempted because if only it was over when the first impact is made ... Rest up ... get well and happy dreams on your next boat ...
