I again I'm all for your right to own and carry a gun. I also believe that a private property owner should be able tell you not to bring your gun on their property! So if you don't like their rules don't come its as simple as that, but why keep bitching about it. Nobody is taking away your rights, there are many places where you are not allowed to carry. Again if they allowed guns inside this place it would be a very dagerous place to be. And having a gun in your truck or on your person would not make you safer than with a no gun policy. It is my belief that most of the people complaining were never going to come in the first place! And the people that were going to come still will.jm o .

I dont think folks necessarily want to bring their gun to the races. Its the ride across the state or maybe they are staying in a strange town for the night. Someone mentioned hide it good and I would have to agree. I personally believe I have the god given right to defend myself by any means possible which may or may not include a gun, depending on the situation. I would hate to be broke down on the side of the road on the way to the races and get held up at gunpoint or killed by thugs tho, lol. No guns allowed will not keep me from going, but 45 bucks a head will. JMO

I'm not sure how this goes, maybe someone more knowledgable then me can say. Didn't the FL Supreme Court rule that personal firearms in vehicles can not be restricted or banned in a parking area? Private business or property is not the issue as I understood it.

I understood that several Fortune 500 Companies almost lost their License to do buisness in FL over this.

Well hopefully they will make arrangements for the fans to be able to watch the races at a reasoable price. I can tell you they are not going to change their gun policy and anyone that thinks they should allow those people that are drinking and raising hell in the mudclub should be allowed to carry a gun with them, are not thinkig straight themselves. There is a reason they don't allow you to carry in the bar. I think all law abidig citizens should be allowed to own a gun and have the right to get a cwp, but there are places where guns don't belong, ad I'm as far right wing as you can get.

Understand that they probably have an overhead for people helping, security, Medics, etc... BUT, $45 is damn near a Disney World trip !!!!!!!! They have food, beer, rides, shade, scenery, and other things !!! $45 is WAY to much for one person to watch what he can see for free at HalfWay lake... I won't even get into the firearm issue...

And not to mention, DOES ANYONE FIND OUT IF THERE IS ANOTHER ACTIVITY GOING ON THAT WEEKEND BEFORE SCHEDULING A DATE FOR THEIR ACTIVITY????? Broward Airboat/Swamp Buggy Show is one of the biggest in the state !!!! Why would you schedule for that specific date.... West Palm Beach is the only one bigger that I can think of..
DONT ARGUE WITH STUPIDITY...THEY WILL JUST DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL, AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.....

Now here is a real AIRBOAT team player!! He is going to be doing all the things disney world offers. Drink beer, ride the rides, and look at the bikini clad mud chicks. Disney world dont have that! AND! its for the low low price of $45.00! last I checked Disney prices are $90.53 a person.

I for one cannot afford $45. + food, beer and gas per person to watch a stinkin airboat race. Now if I was going to mud the race would be an extra. The best mud fest doesn't even charge $45. But i'm with most you all picked the wrong weekend. Palm Beach Show would be cheaper closer to home not to mention a lot more enjoyable. JMO

If everybody did that, next race would go to $55 just because they know we would pay it. I love airboat racing but I'll never pay $45  to watch one. I can't believe they would even try to charge that much........ Find a new location!

No, we have the whiny bitches and then the racers who are bending over backwards to make this sport happen! The true racers and the ones who REALLY want to see this thing grow are still going. The truth hurts sometimes. Sorry for hurting feelings.
