runs good is a under statement i have more cubic inches in 1 cylinder on my pe 90 o520 converted engine.... i have a 2 blade cypress on it and rons running a 3 blade cypress ..... just run that around your head for a little while......i have took this boat for a small ride and is very quick but it had some rudder issues that would not let it handle under full power so i had to back out right off the line ive hear that this has been rectified hope so....

2to 1 reduction on 88 cubic inchs cm should not be able to make the tq that 348 cubes on a a/c platform should make but as somebody else says alot the proof is in the prop.... this direct injection tech is for real , its the thing of the future i just bought a 2.5 direct injected sonata gets 35 mpg on the hiway 0 to 60 in 7 seconds and is a full size sedan with every thing you can get in a car .... one last thing my pe 90 is over 400 lbs the little eco tec you can pick it up and walk of with it all yoiu hard core diesil guys out there know how this works ... vairible valve timing drect injected control by computer to max out power and fuel economy..... now the bigger eco motor will thats a horse of another color.... seen one of them make a guy sell his stinger 1.5 reducted o540 with electronic ingnition

No doubt plum they run good. As far as the future of airboating? I don't know about that , I'll sell mine and give up airboats all together before I go down that road. No disrespect to the guys that run them but without the gearbox it's not going to run like an A/C. The fella that sold his geared 540 boat had a big hull, I don't think an Eco tech would push that set up any better . In the video above it appears that the motor is working a little hard to push that little boat up that so called "hill". That's easy running when you have poly and sand! Just saying!

That " hill" is on the withlacochee on princess lake and trust me that was not very impressive my 4 cylinder will pretty much idle up that it's super slick. I did see a 4 cyl Eco tech in Potts that would tote the mail and was the quietest boat I've ever heard run. But at the end of the day it's a Eco tech.

Why do you say haters? Facts are facts, its not hate that makes resonable people that know airboats not believe the bs some are posting!! Do those little boats run ok yes, are they the monster some of yall make them out to be, HELL NO. Will they run 69 in 400 ft, well never mind lmao. For what they are their bad azz but people need to be truthfull with their claims, or be able too back them up in public. If it wasnt for the so called haters someone that does not know any better might get in a bad situation or ripped off with all the false information.

I was at the outfall canal Saturday and watched russ run his 1700 pound diamondback deckover up the hill on less than full throttle. He did this from a dead stop nosed strait into it. Most boats have to get a running start and still struggle with the outfall canal climb. It is much worse than Obama ridge or Bull$hit hill.

That deck over Eco tech at the outfall canal is the boat I seen Saturday..that boat will tote the mail and the outfall canal isn't nothing like that " hill " the glass boat went up its a actual hill but its still not bad to run up. Terry y'all could take the belt box off of y'all's 16' company boat put 5 people in it and probably still run up the " hill " in that video.
