Actually I don't hate waterthunder, never met him. Don't hate his engines either, my first 2 airboats were carmotor boats. (rough time in my life lol) I could go buy several of his engines right now if I wanted to but I dont lol. I have ran with plenty of them and for the most part they did well. However I, and clearly others, get tired of coming on here and reading the chest beating and shameless self promotion. I'll leave it at that because the rest is against the rules lol. I don't want to get 480'd, I still like reading SOME of what's on here. In thunders name we pray, amen.

Okay......I'm going to add my 2 cents which are just worth that. 2 cents. Carmotor/Truckmotor whatever you call them........If you want performance out of them......a $2500.00 reduction is required first off. Then you have to be sure you have enough boat to float said carmotor/truckmotor. Now picture this, I don't live in the glades or run a drag strip with just 18" of water. It's a lot of deep water here. And I know there aren't any Lycoming parts falling out of the sky....that's only because those engines are running fine in the planes they are in and not giving up. Granted, there is no replacement for displacement. I'd just rather bolt a prop on and go versus having to deal with a reduction. Just my opinion. So shoot me. BANG BANG!

I think this one is headed to High Performance topic. Y'all can talk like this over there where there arent any children reading the threads. Obviously the rules apply to someone else.

All the car engine guys gonna be jealous... but I guess a truck engine is ten times better than a dinosaur they don't even make parts for anymore.... but ya man AV gas smells good I mean if that's a selling factor LOL. Ill stick with 93 and a Lil grape, then stop and wait for em to cool down and then loan em some 93 to get home and make sure to tell em to be easy so's she don't detonate.... oh ya and outrun em too!

Parts are plentiful but do they make them without spending a small fortune? I dunno to each their own I guess. I guess most people just haven't rode a properly rigged car motor to see what they are missing. Mad nah my boats are bad to the bone. Screw it call me a cheerleader I got a Waterthunder.

I'm just giving you a hard time man. An old hunting buddy of mine had a 15' TANK with a 350 2 bolt main and a 1.6:1 reduction that would take us where we needed to go. The only problem he ever had with it was his flywheel came apart, and my little A/C rescued him. It's all in good fun. Parts are plentiful for carmotors too, but they ain't cheap either.
