This from an earlier post from GSO480:

Ok,....I spoke to group reservations........Ms. Leonor Sandino........her direct phone is 1-305-925-2583..........the group is Southern Airboating..........regular rate is $149, she can go to $129.00.......King or 2 twin beds ..min 10 rooms,,,so if youve booked, call her.....or e-mial

lsandino@miccosukee.com

And, this post from hmgm123:

Well I got them down to $119 so far. That with the sales director, But I am going to speak with the general manager and see if I can get an even better rate. Just so that everybody knows please do not call the resort and say that someone said that there is a $119 rate. Let me do the negotiation first and will get the best rate for everyone.

Bump...for LGower and others.

BTW....for those planning a Friday departure from the west coast, I'll be taking I-75 south to Alligator Alley to 27 then to Krome Ave...if anyone wants to convoy. I plan on picking the sausages up from Crofton's sometime Friday am and heading south afterward on 75...

Lee, We have reservations for Friday and Saturday night at the Miccosukee Resort. You should make your own reservations as each of us have. I don't expect any improvement on the $129.00 rate...it is South Florida in the Season.

Lee, way too much riding on me being there to chance a Saturday departure...I plan on plenty of time to make the trip it is a hike, for sure. But, we'll have a lot of food and extra gear with us to leave off at AAoF on Friday. I am planning on a mid morning pick up of the sausages at Crofton & Sons Meats in east Tampa...

Just reserved our room for the 28th & 29th. The Southern Airboat rate holds at $129.00, but you have make them understand that you are with the Southern Airboat group to get it.

http://www.miccosukee.com/

They still have rooms left right now.

FYI...you guys coming from the west coast. US 41 (Tamiami Trail) is kind of rough riding from Ochopee to Dade Co. line. I-75 east, to US 27 south, to SR 997 south, to US 41 is your best way. That puts you @ the corner of walk & don't walk. Hotel & gas on that corner. Your only 7.5 miles east of AAOF club grounds.

OK guys, where am I staying?? I see four different "resorts" on the map but when I just checked on my reservations, it's for the place at 500 SW 177 Ave. in Miami. Did they book me at the correct place or do I need to move it? And here I thought this was going to be easy..... Thanks.

Bondsman...you might consider bringing bonding paperwork and $$$...You'll be following and riding with Bad Company. And, there'll be lots of your friends in low places on the 28, 29 and 30. That new boat of DBrewster is pushing so hard, he might be arrested for destruction of public property... :D :D

Brew, Big Daddy hasn't seen the other side of a fence in ages, in fact he was around back before they even had fences.....just look at his hair, he's been run one too many times to do that stuff today. It's bad for your health you know! :P

I hear the gobbler has a super highway named after him near Cypress though........ :P

I'm still trying to make it down there but i won't know until next week for sure.

I am hoping to be leaving Brooksville between 2-3 pm. Hopefully we can get out a little earlier but the wife has to work on Friday. If anyone else is starting out that late and want to west coast convoy let me know.

Also for the people that are staying at the hotel.. What are you doing with your boats at night? Are you comfortable with hotel security? Or is there room for us to leave them somewhere else?

MAN I am so excited :!: :!: I can NOT wait :!: :!: :!: I honestly feel like a kid waiting for Christmas :!: This is going to be GREAT :!: :!:

I'll be toting two of my big fryers...one for my hushpuppies and one for Bondsman and Mudpuppie's mullet. No need to stop here...I'll have a bottle of propane for each one too. I'll be stopping at AAoF on Friday for unloading the cook gear and for a planning session with John C, AAoF and Bishop Wright in the afternoon...it's an open meeting for all willing to help this thing happen.

Merry Christmas, Brothers and Sisters
