Product testers needed

Postby ShuttleSlide » Thu Dec 07, 2017 1:14 pm

Hello everyone,

We have a new product that has been in development for some time that now needs to have some real world use by end users and are looking for a few people that may be intersted in helping us with this. While we have been testing this internally for months with friends and family, a fresh, unfamiliar and unbiased user will provide valuable feedback.

Our product is a linear mounting system that has many possible uses. The initial use case allows the positioning of a trolling motor away from the edge of a boat so it will not extend beyond the perimeter. We have tailored the initial design to allow for easy mounting of common Minn Kota and MotorGuide trolling motors as well as any other brands that use the same mounting pattern. Though, given the nature of our design, just about any device can be used along with our mount. In most cases, no new holes are required to install our mount if you already have a quick release mount system installed from Minn Kota or Motor Guide.

Here's a link to our website: https://www.shuttleslide.com

Here's a direct link to some video of the mount in operation: https://www.shuttleslide.com/media/

Product will be provided at no cost to testers on the understanding that we would greatly appreciate feedback directly to us so we can improve our product for future release. While our site may appear fully functional, it is still under development so pardon any glitches or oddities.

If you are intested, please PM us here for additional information or feel free to use the contact form on our site. Please reference interest in testing our product when you contact us.

Thanks for reading this and we look forward to hearing from some of you!

That looks like it would be the perfect solution for my rake and light bar issue, I've been thinking about how to make a mounting bracket for the new DB that wouldn't hang out too far but haven't come up with anything yet. With your system I could just build a standard 3 sided box type mount bolted to the left front corner of the rake and be done, if I snag a $50.00 light bar on a tree or the side an airboat trail... no big thing but a new trolling motor would be a little upsetting. I would definitely be interested in trying the Shuttle Slide.

Wow, free stuff on SA and this thread don’t have 100 comments... :violent1:
Cool design. Love the modularity and versatility. The demo with a trolling motor mount is great and I think it could have a ton of other applications on regular boats and airboats. Think I need to grab one of these to mount to my boats deck for a cooler. 8)
Well done!

Im in! Just what I need on my 22 Bay Boat. Currently my trolling motor hangs outside the perimeter of the boat and hits the trailer when I load and unload, and have to disconnect trolling motor for cover to fit. This looks like it solves my problem. Good Job!

I'm game but fair warning, I know how to park and drift. Free stuff is your end! Productive usable stuff is mine.
Rarely go fishing or hunting but often go limiting out. Sounds like something to use for maybe a manatee or dolphin tour in open water?
Intrigued but if it has parts from china, it's like fishing with a banana on board. No one catches anything and your boat is cursed for the day.

I'm a Law Enforcement officer and I do Search and Rescue with an Airboat and I don't use a trolling motor but it I think it would be fantastic to mount the pole that my transponder mounts on for my 3D side scan sonar that I use on the boat for locating things under the water please let me know if thats something you would be interested in

Hello again,

I want to thank everyone that has reached out to us; we now have enough people signed up for testing. We are no longer taking additional new users for testing purposes.

Thank you!

Any Southern Airboat operators a part of this "testing"?

SwampThang and Sniper are showcasing 2 alternate uses.

I installed this on my 22 foot bay boat today. It is everything Russ said it would be. It is well-made, easy to install and extremely simple to use. The main reason I wanted this was so I did not have to remove the trolling motor from the mount every time I wanted to put the boat in the water, or put the boat back on the trailer. The Shuttle Slide solved my problem. It installed into the existing hardware on my boat, it was literally bolt on and go!!
