i know that slick and poly has it pros and cons but i'm looking for slick to wear ratio and durability. i just got do glassing this little hull and i'm going to try out some slick bottom before i put a thousnd srews in the bottom. i talk to the people that sell steelflex ss 9x-2000 and like what i hear and its $99 a gallon. then i got on here to see the opinions on it and seen a whole lot about gatorglide. i *have also heard of frog spit and quick slick. but know nothing about them. any info or priceing would be great, and if there a product i don't know about yet. so let the opinions start flying. thanks oh and in case anyone is wondering i have a little 10 1/2 panther square nose.

IVE RAN MOST OF THEM THEY ALL ARE ABOUT THE SAME FOR LIFE !!!!!
QUICKSLICK IS MUCH SLICKER THEN THE REST IVE USED BUT ID NEVER RUN ANYTHING BUT POLY AGAIN UNLESS I HAVE A SMALL MOTOR OR A DD THAT WOULDENT RUN DRY

IF U DO ALOT OF GROUND POUNDING OR SAND RUNNING GO POLY IF NOT TRY QUICKSLICK U CAN EVEN ROLL IT ON IT U WANT TO ITS GOOD STUFF ... I PAID 95.00 PER GAL USE 2 GAL OR MORE IT WILL LAST LONGER BUT FOR THAT PRICE U DAME NEAR CAN RUN POLY ITS UP TO U :D

I think James meant to say if you run alot of dry stay with QUICKSLICK. If your crossing paved roads or running oyster bars go poly, other than that I will never run that raggedy ass poly again! I have a banger on a 13' cottonmouth that will set the ground on fire with 3 grown men with the help of Quickslick and that's no exaggeration.

I knew this thread would be all about Quickslick. Nothing wrong with the stuff, I have heard nothing but good about his product. I have rode with him quite a few times, great guy!! I however have not used his product, I have used Bobby Jones Jr's (Predator) product and can say it is very slick and durable. I have a H2AD O320 on a 11.5' '91 Nickhopper hull, and ran the marsh from BS hill to North Cove when it was bone dry, not a drop of water, with my girlfriend, a cooler full of beer, and 20gal of gas in the tank one night without much issue using Bobby Jr's product. My motor is no beast, couldn't have done it with out a decent slick bottom. By the way, still using the same bottom 2yrs later, after 2, going on 3 hunting seasons, and rec. ridding keeping up with 6 cyls. Just wanted to throw another manufacturer out their so this thread isn't too one sided. Like I said though, heard nothing bad about Quickslick, nor have I Predator's stuff.

I wouldn't rule out frog spit either. It is slick and is real endurable.I run it on a 3000 pd boat. The only problem I have is crossing the road in the marsh. But any boat thats as heavy as mine is going to have groves cut in from the rocks on the rode.Thats a fact

i have used steelflex for the past few years on my mudboats. stays on good till u beat it up on cement or iron, then it starts to chip off.

gonna try the quick slick next time to see if i see a differance. i'm pretty much a idiot and will run over anything if i have to, so we'll see.

i run poly on my airboats. shopping carts laying in pipeline canals will do a number on brand new poly!!!!! lol

My vote goes to Quicksick! Brian is the man. If you live close enough, let him put it on. He invented it, and knows how to do it. You'll never deal with a nicer, more honest youn man.

GTO offers QuickSlick and Frog Spit, both are about the same price. Both are good products, but the QuickSlick usually outsells the Frog Spit. The QuickSlick product is "slicker" than the Frog Spit for running on the ground and durability of both products are equal for painted on protection.

I think it's more like 21 to 25 square feet per gallon. Call him up, he will let you know what you need!
