Sprayer system
Sprayer system
I'm putting a sprayer system on my boat. Do I mount the spray nozzle straight out the front of the boat or do I turn it down to spray more on the boat. Thanks Bill

Re: Sprayer system
have it spray at the hull-- so it run down the hull-- you may need more than one head

Re: Sprayer system
i mounted mine right up against the winch hook connection on my boat .That way it can protect it from whatever i run into
. You can buy a lot of different nozzles to try from Northern Tool. I got one from them and then i bought a few solid brass plugs and custom made a few to experiment with. The first one i drilled a 1/8 in hole and then made the hole obround and then i took a hacksaw and made a slot in it. Hope this helps

Re: Sprayer system
Bill, let me know when you get it done. We are working on some biodegradable liquid to run in the sprayers. We should have the first batch ready soon and it will be cheap!

Re: Sprayer system
I just did mine this week and have not even been able to check it out yet. One thing to keep in mind is where your bow hits the "stop" on your trailer. I had to put mine down on the poly so it would not hit. One other thing I will mention is that it hits on the roller at the end of my trailer when I unload dry. I bought the broadcast nozzle from Northern Tool for $20. You may be able to use a sprinkler head nozzle from Lowes or HD for less than $5. I dont know if it will put enough water out or not. If you can find one that puts out enough get the one with female threads so you cab get the right length nipple to reach through your poly and hull. I had to use a hole saw to cut through my poly so the the threads would reach through the FG enough to get a fitting on it. The one from Northern cost $20 but It looks like it will do a good job. Just be aware that the male threaded side is pretty short.
