I have got the top deck off, going to need one sheet for sure "2024 .063" . pulling the poly next, "it is horrible". Then I can
get a good look at the bottom.

I just bought a very similar hull only 10x6'8. Hopefully ur bottoms in better shape than mine. Im going to try a fasco product to smooth out the dents and bellies. Ive been trying to post pics for 2 weeks as well with no luck. Good luck on the build

if im not mistaken, that hull used to belong to a freind of mine here in mims. gangster airboats was the nickname of the group that used to ride together, not the mfg of the hull. they used to have those stickers on a couple different hulls. i was wondering if it was his old hull when i saw the title of the thread.

Taylor hulls weren't flat across the back they kinda bow down in the middle of the transome and thurman hulls kinda bow up then down in the front of boat the way that one does. kinda like a hancock and scorpion but not so skinny on the sides.

I dont think Franny would have dropped the nose that hard, looks more like a Thurman hull due to the taper of the hull, what say you Mike? If it is a Taylor hull it will have double rivets in the bow cap support rails in the front. Also the center gusset t-bar rivets arent staggered and are side by side.

Could be an older Cloniger or Davis.

Whatever it is! Looks like a great sled to get her off and running. Good luck with the project, she has nice lines and deserves to have someone build her right.

After careful inspection I think we can claim it... Just looking at the transome, rivit layout, side rail, the rounded camber of the sides of the boat/transome. And the triple louvers on the hatch cover went on every boat. The older boats had on facing forward and one facing back, the later ones both faced back.. Every Taylor I have ever seen was built with angle at the bottom of the transome making the transome completly flat. We use T-Bar for the transome . It keeps the transome from getting ripped out. Does it have dual tanks?? or storage box's under the side decks??? Fuel tank hole looks about right too.. I cant really tell, but which way are the side rail rivit's facing?? are they shot from the inside and bucked on the outside??? I'd like to see a picture of the top of the deck with the hatch covers removed, Also a picture of the underside of the covers and the latches used on them.. Then I could be certin..

that is a good bit of info. Single gas tank 13x9x33, my math puts it at 19 gal. aircraft latches on center hatch. I will be sure to get some more pic's. I now have the front and rear top deck off , I'll get some interior pic's that will show the construction layout. No storage boxes on side decks

Plus we put the "crown" in the front deck. That boat has that "tell tale" look.. The deck is not flat across from side to side. It's higher in the center. Nobody else ever really put the work into them to crown the deck and drop the nose at the same time.
