looking for info on Hamant airboats

Post by hammerhead1968 » Fri May 03, 2013 8:57 am

I am looking at a 14' Hamant with a 0470 aircraft engine with carb. I don't know much about them and wanting to know how good they ride, how well they are made, etc. I see lots of them used in Flordia. I live in Texas.

Never owned one myself, but I have two friends rigging 2 new ones right now. They are becoming more popular and there's a reason for that! They look to be an excellent open hull. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one for the right price from what I have seen. Good luck!

I would defiantly say hamant is one of the best made hulls out there. You might want to look at a JB hull as well they look really close to a Hamant and to me made just as well. I just got one 14ft and I love it.

It's highly doubtful you'd be disappointed with a Hamant. I ran a 12', 4 cyl. Hamant for several years...it was a fun little boat and handled well IMO.

Have a 0-470-R on a 13' 6" Hamant and absolutely love it.. seats 4 and runs 3 dry with ease.. 4th person, you gotta pick and choose when running dry... smooth, flat, and great floating hull.. look in my gallery.. has several pics.. only 2 years old..

I'd be proud to run a Hamant. Great boats, built by fine people.

My last boat was a 15x8 Hamant. The boat I'm running now is an 11x7 Hamant. Great boats, and Wade is Great to deal with. My next one will be a Hamant also. They build em right. You will be happy with it.

Wade grew up in his daddy's airboat shop. Anytime skills pass from father to son you know they learned how to do things right. I would run anything Wade builds and never give a second thought about it. This takes nothing away from other manufacturers, it just sheds a very positive light on Wade and Hamant Airboats.

Hamant is a great running boat, I've had two. Wade is stand up guy to deal with and makes a first class product.
