Interlux makes a good paint called bilge coat. 1 part and easy to apply

WHATS WRONG WITH GEL COAT WITH WAX? ITS GOING TO BE THE TUFFEST!
Re: best thing to paint inside a fiberglass hull?
Gel coat doesn't flex enough. Tends to crack and fall off. Best thingis high solid epoxy

Marine top coat roll on works great.

I used Interlux black mixed with a dulling agent to make flat black. Most of the marine epoxy paints are a gloss finish. They roll on with a foam roller, so easy.

Gel coat doesn't flex? If it's falling off it is most likely because of preparation. It doesn't fall off the outside of the boat.

GELCOAT FLEXES AND BREAKS OFF BECAUSE IT WAS EITHER PUT ON TOO THICK OR THE RESIN WAS LEFT TO CURE TOO LONG OR IN AN OLDER BOAT THE SURFACE WASNT PREPPED PROPERLY. IF IT DIDNT FLEX ENOUGH THEY WOULDNT USE IT ON FIBERGLASS BOATS.boobidges wrote:Gel coat doesn't flex enough. Tends to crack and fall off. Best thingis high solid epoxy
