What ever you use make sure it is biodegradable and you can prove it . FYI ATF is the best stuff the BCSD runs with it but won't admit it!!!!!!! Thanks. Doug. Oh tire shine works real good too!!!!!!

Any driller supplier sells it. The slickest stuff we use doing directional bores is EZ mud by Baroid. Stupid slick.

Surfactant. Makes water wetter. designed to break surface tension between two liquids or a liquid and a solid. Lots of applications, but commonly found at landscape supply stores (lesco/john deere) or chemical suppliers

EZ Mud is slick but it increases viscosity. Makes pumping harder. I would go along with a surfactant as well. There are plenty of drilling additives that are slick but to use them at a concentration that is low enough that your little Shur-Flo pump will push it probably wouldn't be effective. BTW, I'm a bit of a directional driller myself. Just a little company doing little bores. ;) I do plan to experiment with some of the additives we use but my gut instinct tells me that it's going to be way too expensive for the average joe to go buy it.

What size rigs do y'all run? What are you installing? I have always just used the EZ mud. A gallon last a year in my old boat. Just back it down a little bit and it would get it done. I was pumping it with an MSD high pressure fuel pump. Just don't leave it in the tank, it will couagulate.

Depending on what State you are in, some things can be illegal, and get you arrested. Be sure to check and double check in your own State before spraying.

I personally like to use the industrial size personal lubricant......I send the wife to pick it up at the store and she gets all excited till she returns and watches me pour it into my boat...........she got furious and said, "Why did you do that? Are you gona go make love to that thing now?"

I said, "No, that's for later when I hit that dry hole!"

I use Simple Green and water. Pretty slick and is biodegradable. I had that liquid polymer clog up a pump of mine and burn it up. Since then, gone w/Simple Green. You can prove SG is biodegradable if you have the bottle with you (says so right on the label!).

That poly control 2 is the same as liquid polymer. They are great just dilute them to the consistency of water. They way they don't clog Up the pump. They are a
Sinker and drift retardant.

Open your pic to the big pic. Not the Thumbnail size. Right click it and pull down to copy image location. now go to your post either a new post or edit an existing one. Left click the IMG button, now right click and pull down to paste. Move your cursor away from it and Submit, your done.
