Have a 15/8 Alumitech,AGI HULL,With WT 418 efi, 600hp, 2:67/1 belt drive, 83in. 4blade, but got the itch for 14/8 AGI 2cut hull ,we run slop little or no water, lilies bank to bank. Would to know pros & cons of this hull in these conditions.

I'm taking it your hull now is a 4 cut? The 2 cut will run better...it won't feel like it's riding on a beach ball...but it will give up some turning ability....it won't cut and turn...it's gonna want to crow hop in a turn...you will have to learn how to drive it. But it will run the hill great. I wouldn't own a 4 cut alumitech....I had a 2 cut agi...it was a beast on the hill and ran good in the water...just didn't like to turn without crow hopping....

I just got a 14.6 agi 2 cut and they were trying to get me to get the ags Raymond says it handles better and is a faster hull than the agi but I loved my last one so I stayed with the agi. Just went 6 inches longer. You cant go wrong with any alumitech hull I have 13 ordered right now and they all ride great imo

The ags is a better running hull. But just a fyi...the flattened the bottom out 2" so in turn it's going to make the sides look 2" taller if you order the same side height in an ags compared to an agi.

It's the amount of cuts in the bottom sheet of Aluminum. They only cut the first few feet to allow the bow to come together and roll up at the same time. The amount of cuts also determines the look as well. From the side the nose on the 4 cut has a steeper angle of attack and from the front, the bottom almost has a "V" or tri-hull look to it.

Thanks for the info Smuggler ,though the 2 or4 cut was the way the bottom was cut at transom. Have a AGI , 4cut now and don't like it. Do you know if u can get a AGI A CUT WITH A 2cut.

Still looking want to get right hull this time.

No an A model is a totally different bottom....the thing with all the alumitechs is they all crow hop! But a 2 cut AGS is going to be the best bottom they make

The ags....the A model doesn't have as much flat as you think....it has a crown in the middle

I would say the AGI A runs more free due to the crown in the Transom and is faster in the water than the S. Raymond said they typically run about 10 MPH faster but it does like to crow hop.
