Boat is dipping in the back right?

Post by RufflingFeathers » Mon Aug 11, 2014 11:46 am

Now that ive pitched my prop to 3 it seems like my boat is dipping to the right a little more then it used to. Is it because of the more pitch or do I need to " loosen" the bolt for the drive unit on the right and let the right side come up a little more or?

Sounds like torque roll to me. Must be a belt drive, right?
If that is the case, shimming the engine and/or drive will not make any difference.

Shifting some weight to port may help a little, but it may not.
Then get used to bracing yourself, or learn to stab it softly.

Or better yet, do all of the above.

More pitch means more bite which is going to cause more torque roll.

You'll learn to give it the right amount of rudder to help with it, but hp and big blades are gonna twist lol.
