Coating aircraft exhaust????

Post by ffjpowell » Tue Nov 25, 2014 4:40 pm

I have researched past threads and never saw mention of this product!!!

I am fixn to do some PM work on my boat n motor while its chilly up here n jax. Looking to do something with my headers. I have searched and found this company and was wondering if anyone has ever used or heard about a outcome, mainly durability and over all. They offer a lifetime warranty as well. After calling them they can do both headers and flex pipe for a good price. And offer many colors and considering black???
Looking for any info both good and bad. Seems to be the only company that is doing it. Would like to find someone local but had no luck.
BTW: I am not affiliated with them in any way, just looking for info

Jet Hot has been in the performance coating business for years and have and excellent product and though I have not done anything personally with them I have heard from friends who have dealt with them that their customer service is top notch

10-4. Thank you. From my conversation with them i got the same impression. Do u happen to know anyone in Fl. That is doing it? At least would like to keep the $$ in state. And did they do any colors or just normal. Looking at Black or Chrome look.

I've not used them personally, yet. I know of two or three people that have used and recommend them.
They are credible folks, so I won't have a problem using PerformanceKote when the need arises. You may
find some info here if you search for them. A similar question here a couple years ago brought them to
my attention and then I found out after that some people I knew had already used them. Go figure.

I don't know off hand who he uses, but you could call Norman Clay at Innovative Accessories and find out.
Whoever he uses would obviously come very highly recommended and is most likely in FL as well.

I did the cerakote my self. I coat guns and they have different products for different applications. It's very durable. I also coated the tops of my Pistons. It keeps detination from melting your Pistons.

I have personally used Performancekote in Orlando and have been satisfied with what they did for me. Just some single cylinder exhaust pipes but they have held up well

Performance Coat done my headers, clamps and flex pipe and it turned out great! Had several people tell me that coating the flex wouldn't turn out good cause of all of the cracks in the pipe. I've got several all day rides on them and everything still looks new.

All my stuff was already on my boat. I pulled the headers and exhaust and bought new flex and clamps. Since I am doing some PM on my boat I figured I would do the coating.

I degreased everything prior to taking it to them and they degrease as well and then bake it all off then spray. Came out good.
