lenco trim tab wiring question ??

have a lenco trim tab and my console already has a switch for the tab... question is how do i wire up my tab to the switch.... do i need a relay?? any help is appreciated

I just wired mine directly to the battery. You could use a fuse, or breaker, or relay if you choose, but I took the simple route.

You can purchase the Lenco wiring harness. It comes with Deutsch connectors, just plug them in, run 1 lead to the battery (best to run it fused), 1 lead to a ground, and your in business

I know he already found out what he needed for his application, but here is a diagram that helped me when wiring a momentary switch with relays. Hopefully this might help someone in the future.

The first picture is also applicable for bypassing the reversing relays on a power pole. I say this cause I'm noticing more on airboats
