RAKE MOUNTED STORAGE BAG
I've seen a few zippered storage bags mounted inside solid rakes for holding life preservers and other misc items. Anyone know if they sell them or are they all custom made?

There is one called "T Bag" it is specifically designed to strap into the inside over head of a T Top of a traditional center console boat. It should work for what you are considering.

That or you could get that "cargo net" that replaces your tailgate.. Or that spider web netting that covers cargo in the bed of a truck.. That way you could just mount the snaps (or hooks) where you wanted and then place your life jackets where you want them in the grass rake and stretch the netting over it and connect it..

I use a cargo net from a minivan.
Has hooks on top corners and loops on bottom corners.

Re: RAKE MOUNTED STORAGE BAG
It seems that the cargo style net is a popular option, I suggested the T Bag because I assumed it would be for a more permanent storage area. The problem I have with the net is that the PFD's stored there will be in constant sun, water, and debris degrading the fabric and straps possibly making them useless in an emergency. This brings up my personal storage method. Store them in the house, wear them on the boat.

Re: RAKE MOUNTED STORAGE BAG
Thanks for the replies and the suggestions, I never thought of using the T-bag. My only issue with that is when I googled the T-bag for an air boat, most comments said it worked great, but faded quickly and looked like heck after a few weeks. The couple I've seen must have been custom made, they looked like sunbrella material with a horseshoe shaped zipper for access. I'm waiting on a price from a local guy that fabricates bimini tops and t-tops to see what it would cost to make one, though I'm probably not willing to pay what they will want, but you don't know unless you ask!
