Advice /Info on Electronic Ignition

Post by amandab69 » Thu Jan 14, 2016 2:38 pm

We would like some advice on installing a Electronic Ignition on a Continental 520 and if anyone can point us to someone who can tell us about the cost, is it readily available. Thanks in advance.

I love my PaceMaker Ignition system I have one my 540, it is very clean & runs very smooth!!!!! Daren & Rodney are good people & are just a phone call away if you have any issues or questions. Where the other system that Jr carries is XDI, I have a few buddies who have it & it's not as a clean of system & doesn't have the LED display as pacemaker does!!! My advice is pacemaker all the way but to each their own!!! Just my opinion!!!

call Abner at Elite Airboats if you're around Okeechobee. I'm sure you can find his number on the web or this site. He can set you up right. I have a Lycoming 0360 AV with his setup and its great.

Pacemaker all the way. I have the system on all three of our raceboats and will have one installed on the one I'm in the process of building!

I have ran both and the pacemaker is far better than the electroair. Darren and Rodney are right in central Florida and ready for tech support, their product is far more adjustable and more user friendly. If you have a problem with the electro air system they have no tech support if someone local can't fix it you are SOL! That is experience speaking.

Exact reason I went with Pacemaker!!! My buddy has the xdi system & says he wishes he would have gotten a pacemaker after seeing how clean the set up is!!! Darren & Rodney are also great people to do business with!!!
