Stuck lifter or short pushrod?

Post by Strangiato » Sat Mar 05, 2016 8:33 am

220 gpu. New to me. Noise was driving me nuts so pulled valve cover and intake tube on suspect cylinder. I discovered a 1/8 gap between rocker arm and valve/pushrod. Valve is closing fully and seat looks good. Pushrod is not bent. Could this be a lifter not pumping up completely or just a short pushrod or do I need to just tear into it some more and look? Thx

Could be a stuck lifter, I have them and also the adjustable pushrods to fix your problem.

Would a worn lobe also give that look?
