Airboat Vacations and weekend runs

Post by dean »

Any Ideas where a bunch of air boaters might go for a few days of airboatin fun. Have campers will travel. Need water and satelite TV. Maybe some one to feed 25 river rats give or take a few. And a few dogs. Im getting the urge.

Hillbilly Haven is sho nuff a priority.

The pics I see of the new park at Ham Creek looks like a good spot also.

Falls on the Brazos is good fun and fishing.

Poverty Hill has a few nutty neighbors but some good running.

Desperation Ridge is a prime spot.

Have not been up near Mr & Mrs Tall, but I hear there is some good running there.

I guess I 20 River Rat and BB are on recon this weekend, {is this out of bounds Eugene}

I think Quackcephus is on recon also at the Codarada, thats how Connie says it.

What am I missing, Necked Island maybe, Off limits till it warms up.

We could always ride to Waco and have a steak.

Red river, I have not been to Tigerts Yet.

Round and round we go, where we stop nobody knows.

We could do like the weather man and get a Texas map and some darts.

Watch out for falling darts out there !!!

How bout some more Ideas ?

I think BB is ok on te Out of bounds rule, he gave 72 hr notice , plus he gonna do re-con.
All them places sound great. Need to get the bow fishers down below the falls for some of the extra large aligator gar. We gonna have 4 BRAB here in Ellis County on Sat and we can toss around some ideas over a plate of Lasagna. Plus we can talk bad about BB since he will be running river.HEHE

I swear the straight jacket and trip to DePaul was just routine
Doesn't matter to us much where we go but we are ready to make at least one trip this year. As long as the group is to together I am sure we will have a blast. If there is something set in concrete will need to dates so i can get time off have a feelin we will be swamped when its warm enough for play time.

Hey Mitch how's that ol airranger boat of yours doing. You wouldnt recgnize your old boat.
I've moved the tank forward, & put all new wiring on. I also found a alternative to buying
a new tank, I took it to a place in waco & had a liner/sealant put in. no more rust in tank
now.

CDP Dean's comment on the urge to go ridin' does't even come close on how bad i am dying to take the new boat out. Still have more odds and ends to do but its getting close. I think I am down to battery tie downs finishing my bimini top and a support for the rain cover over the carb then I have to have the carb looked at it wants to act up on fast pedal movement. If you can post some pics of the old airgator. I am glad to here your working on it. Good luck and take care of my baby she will do ya right and see on the river.

Good Job Eugene, just want to add a play ground is on the hill with swings slides such {Family friendly place} and there are showers on the hill, bring your bike or golf cart, a asphalt road circles the park, and a concrete boat ramp for launching you out to the falls !!!

Great place to start the summer off, and bring our host Tinker an extra beverage, she is usually kinda thirsty as it is a hard job working the Falls on the Brazos.

This will give Airboaters an oppurtunity to jump the Falls and stretch their legs a little. No houses or people for miles and miles. Plenty good catfishing. We can bring this to seperate post later on or next week.

I'm sure that a few others will be added to the list once we make it a seperate post.
