One of Our Own Needs Some Prayers!

Post by rost495 » Tue Mar 22, 2011 7:35 pm

Hey Folks.

In the emails trying to get some help for the grass planting here, I get a note from Lee Nichols friend. Seems that on this past Sunday Lee lost almost complete use of his right leg. MRI says L4 and L5 require surgery and they are trying to find a room for him at this time.

I am not sure off the top of my head if last name is Nichols or Nicholson, Steplift58 also comes to mind as an email tag. So I may be making an error there.
We are so new at TAA and I don't have a list of everyone either.... Mc Allen area IIRC.

Please keep Lee and his loved ones and family in our thoughts and prayers at this time.

We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery. I told Debbie to tell him get well soon, duck season is getting closer again.

He and Debbie had planned to come help at the grass planting on the 26th of March. He had volunteered for the first one too but we had enough big boats to make his time not worth the drive up and back. We appreciate his offers.

Jeff

Prayers Sent -- Lee, I hope that the Lord touches you soon with his healing hand.

Lee is a great fellow always willing to lend a hand. After Hurricane Ike destroyed things in our area, he drove up all the way from McAllen and hunted around until he found a group to help. If I remember correctly, they ended up looking for missing people around the Crystal Beach area. I've had the pleasure of talking with Lee a few times and always enjoyed the conversation. He is a super friendly guy.

Hope to hear good news soon!

I sent Debbie another email to Lee's address last week and have not heard a thing yet. I have no other way of getting hold of them that I'm aware of. I had a phone number at one time but cant' find it at the moment.

Update.
Where did I get an update of ALL places? A reply to my plea for 30 April Grass Planting.

Lee says he feels better and the surgery was a success at this point. Has a Drs checkup on the 27th and if the green light is given, he'll be down to help with the grass planting!!

What a guy, my first reply to volunteer services for TAA representation and its from someone who just had surgery!!!

Continue to heal Lee!!

Ya' gotta admire people who put the needs of others ahead of their own pain. Get well soon, Lee! :thumbleft:
