Senate Bill 408, authored by State Sen. Craig Estes prohibits any "airboats, fanboats, and similar shallow draft watercraft that use an aircraft-type propeller for propulsion; and (2) hovercraft" along the Brazos River in the John Graves Scenic Waterway. This bill has gone to the governor for signature. Call the governor's office, 800-252-9600 or Senator Estes' office at 512-463-0130 to Appose the bill!
As of right now this Bill has not been signed yet!!!! We still have time to call and appose! Let's not let a billionaire take our freedom from us!! This Bill was brought forward on grounds of retaliation. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the enviroment as they have claimed! If they would have done their research they would know this!!! Next thing you know they will ban ALL MOTORIZED BOATS from the River and PK Lake area!!! Don't let them!!!!! You can call over and over all day long if you have time!!! They went back into session at 10:30am today. KEEP CALLING THE GOVERNOR!!!!
