South central Texas airboaters?
How many of yall folks on this board live in or around the Houston/ Richmond area? Bein new here, just tryin to meet some other like minded indivuals with much more knowledge than myself...

Thats great. Any of you guys or yourself ever make it down to the coast and ride? Im goin this sat to go pick up a 13'3 by 7 boat with cage rigging but no seats gas tank or motor. Im just gettin started in this airboat game and do a lot of duck hunting down in POC where I have a place so thats where ill primarily be riding.

Man I must say Im impressed by the help and advice given so far. I know that as a beginner most people probly get sick and tired of having to answer question after question and but so far the help ive recieved from yall folks has been nothing short of amazing. Thanks again to everyone. and If any of yall ever care to make a trip to the coast to do some duck huntin or fishin or just riding yall are more than welcome, plus i could use the experince of maybe riding with some of you guys and learning the do's and dont's and litle tricks of the trade.

Not so close, La Grange, but do most of the duck hunting late Dec/Jan in POC almost exclusively.

Sure is good to hear from all yall local Texas people! Just outta curiosity 540 mountain motor, you live down there? I am currenty working in and around the Lake Jackson Brazosport Clute area. Seen one or two airboats rolling around that area. You one of em? And rost 495, you have a place down in POC? we do a lot of duck hunting down there and thats pretty much my home away from home. Would love to meet ya when your down and possibly learn some stuff from ya about airboating on the coast?

Live in Lake Charles, LA... Houston isn't far and when I am up and running again I am always up for a enjoyable day on the water...

Redheads and Pintails........Thats like out of towners and hardheads...saltwater catfish......you boays gotta get down here more.......Theres been good ducks all over the coast here early this year.......Gadwalls, Teal, spoony, bluebill, lots of black ducks and even seen a few pintails. As for the redheads there on the way. It oughta be a fun mornin on Sat.

I live in LJ and own a shop in Angleton. My boat is black and red.
