House Bill 3722 — Boater Education Fees

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (the department) proposes an amendment to §53.50, concerning Training and Certification Fees. The proposed amendment would establish a definition of “agent,” establish the $10 statutory examination or course fee for boater education training in rule, and allow an agent of the department who provides boater education instruction to charge and retain a per-person service fee in an amount established in a fee schedule approved by the department’s executive director, which shall not exceed $25. The proposal also would exempt an agent providing a boater education course via the Internet from the requirement to collect and forward to the department the $10 examination or course fee.

Comment online until 5 p.m. Nov. 2, 2011.

I don't believe they allow any public comment in meetings other than the annual meeting in August each year. The only comments that can be made about proposals such as these must be made in writting or on line.......

From my post above and on the website...
"Anyone who is interested in speaking to the Commission is encouraged to attend."
I think we could a minute to say we are here to help , put us to work ? Everytime I hear those audio tracks of the meeting there is always some time for Kudos , questions and comments.
