finally on the water

Post by ranger2008 »

hello everyone I am out of Houston. After 3 years of starting and stopping due to hunting seasons, work and other setbacks my friend and I finally finished building our boats yesterday , lots of fabwork,,rewiring and anything else you could think of we finally finished at about 6p.m. yesterday afternoon then made a phone call to my cousin and put them in the water at a private boat ramp on the san jac. river backwater. It was worth the wait I have never had so much fun first time to ever be on an airboat much less run one we got it right the first time both boats did great and I owe alot of that to reading threads and asking questions on this site I look forward to meeting up with some of you guys and hopefully making some new friends along the way.........Thanks for all the helpful info that enabled me to get on the water last night......... :salute:

What's the area like up there to run? Is there any skinny water? Hope there's a bow stop on that trailer so that boat doesn't end up in the back of your truck.

Didn't look like it in the picture. Those people pretty airboat friendly up there? I noticed another airboat in some of their pics on their website, so I am guessing so. Would love to come check it out, but I'll be down on the coast this weekend.

we will be putting in on the trinity river at the far north end of Livingston at outback campgrounds and marina on sunday morning fairly early and will probably bring some sort of meat to burn for lunch just going to ride and tune on boats and let the wives and kids do some swimming.
