Anahuac Crab Trap Cleanup/Feb. 22 Airboats Needed

Post by shiggs » Thu Feb 06, 2014 9:13 pm

We got the request to help with the trap cleanup again this year. Wrench and Kwowens helped us last year and we had a huge airboat turnout a few years ago. I am hoping for a good turnout this year!! They normally provide some good gumbo and we have always have a good time.

I will post more details to this thread as they become available. I am assuming that we will assemble at the same rally point as in previous years...Ft Anahuac Park.

Shiggs, wish I could be there to help once again as we did last year, holy hell is what cold last year, 28 degrees if I remember correctly. Unfortunately other plans already made, good luck with the clean up

That date sucks. I will be in Missouri smashing snow geese on the spring migration. This would be a good excuse to get out and run the boat a little bit.

Update: Event will run from 0900-1300 and lunch will be provided. They are asking folks with boats to show up a little early to get launched and ready to go by 0900.

Thanks to the folks that replied already...I understand about the schedule conflicts.

Let me know if you know of others that are planning to attend with airboats. We are trying to get an idea of how many we will have.

Thanks,
sh
