Hand lay single strand 1/8" or 3/16" to be really tough. Looks way better and it really doesn't take that long.

American Airboat has 4"x4" stainless wire (mesh). The factory is located in Orange, TX.

Make your own. Take a 4x8 sheet of plywood and set your skill saw depth about the depth of the wire size. Pop lines on the whole sheet of plywood in the 4"x4" pattern lay your single strands of wire in there and go to tacking. Turns out nice and way cheaper. Just an Idea. Seen it done and it works. Not that hard.
