Gatorfest 2015

Postby kwowens1963 » Mon Aug 24, 2015 12:39 pm

Gatorfest at Anahuac Fri-Sun September 11-13 at Fort Anahuac Park, the launch is usually closed the entire weekend, so if you are coming by boat you will have to launch at Goo hole or the wallisville corp of engineers launch off I-10

Barry, I plan to launch at the corp of engineer launch right off of I-10 at wallisville, or maybe goo-hole off of old and lost river exit, I have not yet decided, there will be several airboats out that weekend as well. I look forward to seeing you again-KO

you can take your boats up to the gatorfest and dock them, but be sure to watch out for the airboat tour boats swinging around in that area for the tourist, I almost got nailed one time. When you pull up to Anahuac park by water from the river side, be sure to stay over to the right side at idle spped, you will see a wooden bridge to your right, just kinda hug the shore, that way you will not be in the way of the big airboaut tour boats.

I usually just run mine up on the end of the peninsula there and park it dry.

BTW, Bonnie with Marsh rider magazine asked me to be the unofficial picture taker for the Gatorfest weekend, so if you want to drop by or see my boat out there. flag me down and I will take a few pics and send them to Bonnie, she will do an article in next months magazine.
