its just 1/8" or 1/16" rod so order it where you order your other metal
Don't waste your time ... it is the only thing you can't get more of
.. if it accidentally looks like I gave advice please ignore it .. and notify me immediately

Don't bother with the small wire from lowes or home depot unless you plan on changing it regularly. My boat is a year old and I don't beat on it and the wire is already breaking everywhere and it isn't even the small stuff... JMO

best place to get cage wire is from a farmers supply. Do ya'll have McCoys down in Florida? I don't remember seeing any there last January, but I wasn't paying attention to anything put food stops and gas stations, hotels ,etc. McCoys have some good wire.So does Tractors Supply.

Im also building a new cage. Has anyone tried horse fence tractor supply has it in 12ga and what i like is it wraps around itself a few times instead of the other kind that is welded seems like it would be stronger? Would like to know how it holds up it cost almost double what the welded stuff does.

I had the same problem finding 12 ga 2 x 4 wire 72" tall to rewire a buddys cage so I ended up buying a whole roll. Point being if anyone is looking for the wire in the brooksville area just PM me. I think I paid $190 for the roll of 100 feet so that would be $1.90 per foot and I have 80 foot left..

I am looking for some wire to put on cage. I have conduit for my loops. I would like to find some 4 x 4 wire but have not been able to locate any. Also what is the best galvized or non galvized? I am in Nebraska.

Not saying there isn't but I have not seen pre-made 4 x 4 wire.. If your going that big I would just get some 12' 1/8" stainless rod and lay it out by hand.. If you go with the pre-made 2x4 just make sure you use 12 ga NOT 14 ga..

Thanks, Everyone. I needed some feedback to help guide my choice. My boat came with the 14 gauge and it came apart this year peice by peice when I got my prop dialed in better.
