when I went for a ride at Hernando awhile back the Vortex boat was there that boat was the fastest ride boat I have ever seen,he raced the Rise Above it boat that day. the Vortex boat had a red hull I thought it's been awhile but it was a Diamond Back and was first class I could only imagine how much thrust it has I also heard that it had 2000HP

The guy that owns this boat is Nevin Jenkins. He lives in citrus county and uses it for cliff climbing somewhere around that area. He told me that at cruising speed he burns approximately 8 gallons an hour but at full throtle he uses 7 GALLONS PER MINUTE. very impressive boat and a super nice guy. And yes it is a rivited Diamondback hull. Nevin also told me that at full throtle the boat has been on GPS at 104mph!

Do they really make a dyno that goes to 2000 hp, or is that the more reliable ''boat ramp'' dyno? Bud

Yep they do, my old boss had one in Seattle that was for the Miss Budweiser hydroplane, Nevin not on here bragging about how much hsp he got heck he just told me abunch not a race boat but a ride boat I seen him crusing Homosassa river or he run the loop thru sleepy hollow. Towed a sunk 13 foot boat across the middle of Lake Cypress on about 25 mph stroll heck he started out in the deep canal  , not to sure most can or would do it.

So instead on him going to half way lake I set up a ride up his way bring them marsh boats up our way we have a race on who can make the loop the fastest or Camp mack to Shady Oak, then around Brahama, acroos the lake up to north cove and thru the marsh cut though Sheep Hammocks that is what we call a race, heck what is so special about 400 feet anyway. :D then again that is about how far a A/C will stay together racing a good ole carmotor :violent1: :violent1: :violent1:

I don't think the 2000 HSP boat can make it around Lake Kissimmee and through the marsh without breaking down. When that boat came to Loughmanns, it broke down for 30 minutes at bull$hit hill. The boat just is not that practical. However the owner is very nice and the boat is super cool. I met him at the calendar shoot and talked to him for a few minutes. Also if you want to see this boat with a red bikini on it, then you need to buy the calendar!

Yes the boat is on the calendar I talked to the guy quit a bit and a friend of his built the motor that is currently on the boat not Felber he said he had a lot of problems with the Felber motor so he had a good friend of his build the twin turbo motor and it is very impressive to hear and see run
Bobby told me the motor was in deed 2000 hp and the way that boat ran it is believable

What size turbo's are those. They look to small to be on a Big Block. But without knowing the combo it's possible to make 2000hp. With them small turbo's it shouldn't have any lag which is great on a airboat. No matter what the boat is badass. Only thing I would change is the color to blue and put a Big Block Ford on it

I don't know their isn't to many chevy that can hang with our 601ci BBF n/a single dominator on gas in florida. There are other dragsters around that are close but they are 40ci bigger and not faster. My little 525ci BBF is just as fast as most 555-565ci BBC. It's all preference. In the end they are just motors. I just like my distributor in the front.

here is a 1000hp bb an im willing to bet it runs just as good as a 2000hp motor on a boat.. Just me but anything over 1000hp is prob a wast with a prop pushing it. now in a car or truck the more the better..

We will have to race the next time I come to Kissimmee. I haven't been to Polluted Waters yet. The first race will have to be on the hill through some bada$$ stuff. That is where the Al David hulls really excel. I also need to put a few dents in that 5086 bottom so that you porpoise in the second race on the water. LOL. Also when are you coming to Loughmanns to ride? Need to show you what these Al David boats run through on a reguar basis and put a few scratches on your show boat. Just messing with you Bigun. You have a really nice boat that anybody would be proud of.

HuntinBigun VS CarMotorBarge...
I Will smoke both of you in my new rig! I built it to carry the family and "Hunt" 2400 HP! It will run the hill all day, and by run the hill I mean flatten them. These are waterfelber engines with 4 stingtator gearboxes per engine in every ratio multiplying my torque horsepower and aerodynamics of my props. Made out of magnesium and lead to improve bargelike handling and 10X10 cage wire. (My kids are all over 11" so they cant fit through the cage wire lol!)

See ya at halfway lake slowpokes!
Life is great, without it you'd be dead.
