A buddy of mine has the muck brand snake boot and swears by them. I just wear waterproof not snake proof. I like alpha burly light non insulated. The muck brand snake boots are nice it will be my next boot.
Re: Hunting boots
I have heard nothing but good about muck boots, but have not owned any YET.

Re: Hunting boots
I just bought a pair of muck boots, they are the woody max. They are the best pair of boots I've ever worn. I wear them 12-14 hours a day. I would by another pair tomorrow. I've had every pair of snake boosts made, rocky, lacroosee,Browning and they all leak and are not near as comfortable as my muck boots.

I just got the Muck "Woody Armor" (snake boots) super comfortable I walked about 15 miles in them last weekend. They are a little hot but man are they comfortable and easy to walk in. If you look on amazon you can find them for $125.00. I have had the Alpha Burley and they fit well but i wore them out on one season. I cant say how the muck's will last but after a month of hard hunting and wearing them almost every day in the airboat they are just as good as they day they came out of the box. I really like the idea of a snake boot that is really waterproof when I step out of the boat and into the tall grass in the dark. Had a pair of the Bass pro boots for 2 years they were tough but very uncomfortable and really noisy when you walked in the brush.
BTW: the mucks are 17" tall
Re: Hunting boots
My mucks were $139. I didn't shop around I was in Carolina and I needed them. I will check out there snake boots though. I'm very impressed by these. They have another version that's for warmer weather like back in Fl. These woody max were nice in warm in the 30 degree weather.

Re: Hunting boots
I have a pair of Danner pronghorn gtx. They are great. They are snake and water proof. Not real cheap but very comfortable, durable. I will most likely get many years of use.

Re: Hunting boots
I started wearing the Muck boots several years ago and thats all i hunt in now. I have a light pair and the woodys snake boot. They are getting pricey but they hold up great and are real comfy and DRY !!

Re: Hunting boots
Bought the Muck Woody Armor boots last year. A little warm for archery season, but are extremely comfortable and holding up very well. The brambles where I hunt I hunt tend to destroy a pair of boots in one season and the Mucks have shown no signs of wear.
