After being held up for a couple of months with training got started again on the boat. After calling multiple locations for bedliner coating quotes and over exaggerated product amounts I researched what was out there and went with Raptor Liner. Used 4 gallons for everything following.

Image

Very easy to use, Ebay had the best price and came with a gun. 250ml of hardner in the bottle, less than 100ml of tint color i wanted, shake and shoot.

This pretty sums it up in regards to this stuff. LOL!

Image

The cage was treated with Ospho and wiped down with acetone. Some before pictures.

Image

Image

The same was done to the engine stand, and grass rake.

Everything then was coated with Raptor Liner. The finish is rough and tuff, I am very happy with how easily it coats. Color matching is a cinch and is the same everytime. Very user friendly product. After pictures of cage, engine stand, grass rake, seats, trailer. Even my linkages got coated with Raptor.

Image

Image

Place the grass rake to have an idea of what the coated product looks like then move on to installing the hydro-turf on the deck.

Image

In getting ready to put the hydro-turf, I wiped down the entire deck with acetone, took some measurements of my center lines and cut outs and did my cutting with a straightedge and a retractable razor.

Image

Did same for other side to check fit.

Image

After fit was confirmed and final pieces were cut out I spray both the hydro-turf and the deck with glue, waited a bit for it get tacky usually done by the end spraying everything with 3M spray glue (#77), laid it down, worked the fit, cut the excess, trim back where I wanted it to be and voila!

Image

After that was done, I started to put things back on the boat and bolting them down. Hopefully I can get this done soon to get out on the water. Starting to see the finish line.

Great Job CC. I would move the bunk boards on the trailer out a little though. You should be riding in no time.

Looks great Rich. You've been a busy boy. Been working on the house but let me know when you're gonna run wire and the rest of the accessories.

Little more progress. Placed the floor for the passenger, driver, and battery tray. Cut the curves on wood with a 4" grinder and smoothed it out after with a flap wheel.

Image

Will be placing my mats on these areas to finish them off.

So now that I am on the home stretch here is the progress.

Installed the navigation lights on the front seat.

Image

Placed the consul where I wanted my clear view. It will be wrapped when I get my guages.

Image

Painted the parts that I wanted from red to green.

Image

Image

Installed my lightbar. They aren't kidding these things are bright as hell.

Image

Painterchic came to do my graphics here at the aaof poker run. Let her take her time and what a hell of a job she does. Her art work editing is excellent, her attention to detail is definitely shown in work, not one regret in having her do the work. Can't say enough nice things about her.

Here are the before and after.

Richard, to know that you did it all by yourself says a lot about your dedication.
Congratulations on a job well done.

Ya know, this boat is the epitome of a 'home built' boat.
This guy hand built every piece of this boat, with minimal equipment,
and a minimal shop. Plus, it came out looking damn nice. I like the rudder art!
