Schmidt Airboats has a Adaptor that bolts to the carb and is made to take a K&N type filter. Some people also run the spark arrestors but they don't filter bugs and sand I would go with the K&N

I used to run a spark arrestor to one day the screen was full of crap so I took it off to clean it. When I did I stuck my finger in the throat of the carb it had sand all in it. That was the last day I ran one. Been running a K&N for well over 5 years never had a problem with getting a ticket for it. Not saying you can't get a ticket for it. I'll take the ticket over putting a set of cylinders on my boat anyday.
