Tricks to freeing up stuck lifters?

Post by TDezso »

I have two stuck lifters in the motor I'm putting together. They are stuck out to the snap ring. Anyone got any ideas on freeing them up? I don't want to beat on them.

1 part kero , 1 part marvel , and 1 part brake fluid ! What kind of engine ? Many get musroomed ! We use a slide hammer on many , but sometimes i have to pound out from bottom ... if u can spin the cam then u can work the lifter up and down and it / they will come out eventually , i would need to know what your working on and what your goal is to be more specific ! I have done several thousand ! W
