Postby riverrat1 » Tue Apr 10, 2018 8:24 am

Okay I'm the kind of person that likes to know everything I can about what I'm running so here we go, I have a GPU I converted to a 470 aircraft with 8.6.1 Pistons what do you think the actual horsepower of this motor would be I would say to 260 Myself by the way it runs but it's probably closer to 240

I'm running the same set up. I've been told 240-250hp. I can run with the 260hp SV540's anywhere they go.

That's what I think also , but then again the Pistons are 260hp Pistons some of the GPU come with driffrent hp rating I was told mine was the higher-rated camshaft , all I can say is that it runs good

I would think a good way to compare hp to hp would be to compare what you have as far as prop, length ,pitch and wot rpm with a an engine with the same prop...in other words if you find a 260hp with the same prop compare all the above with your prop to see how close they are
