First off, you are to be commended for staying on top of your maintenance. :thumbleft:
That is the exact type thing that a pre-flight check is supposed to reveal. That in particular is a part you do NOT want to have fail.

I have not had the experience with a hub failing, over many years and many different hubs.
Couple blade issues along the way, but those were more use/self inflicted rather than of a defective type of nature.

Were these both late model (read recently new) hubs? The same blades involved?
Unless the blades are the same and are somehow a contributing factor (not sure how),
it would almost seam as though the alloy they were machined from was somehow substandard?

Congrats again on identifying that before it was a bigger issue . . . and it could have been.
Please let us know what they say after you talk to Sensenich.
I have a couple here, so will be more than passively curious what they have to say.

Is it the same engine, drive and blades as the last defect ?

Does the running gear have any history of a prop strike or catastrophic engine or drive fail ?

Serious safety concern so engage Sensenich for assistance and support.

What is the torque spec your using ?

Good eye on detecting the defect.

GREAT JOB finding this before it was a major catastrophic failure. I'm going to say you have BAD Harmonix going through the blade for some reason. I hope you can find the root of the cause. Keep up the great work with preflight inspection.
