Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the river is flooding from Nobleton to the 200 bridge north of Inverness.

To my knowledge, the river went from initially being idle speed to being closed north of there because of this. It still has not crested going by the Eagle. All of the Citrus County ramps on the river are closed. Don't know if Sumter followed suit or not.

The airboat wouldn't fit under the Hwy 44 bridge three days after the storm, and the water has come up over two feet since then.
The river is currently flowing 3,900 cubic feet/sec at Trials End and still rising. That is more than it reached during the flood in '04 when there was four hurricanes.

There is a good possibility that Pott's is in better shape. When I was out that way day before yesterday, the lock at Turner Camp Road didn't look to be flowing, so the Hernando Lake may well still be in usable shape, although I'm sure it ain't on the low side.

Swamphunter has a place up there, so he can probably tell you more if he's been up there recently.

As stated the river is over flood stage and a rather dangerous place at the moment. Potts and the Hernando pool are looking good.

Ramp by hardware store is open

God Bless You, brother.

There were a handful of far less respectful, mentally challenged, and apparently
illiterate individuals up here out on the river pretending that they had 32' Chris Crafts. :angry5:
The only bright side to that, was that there was not one airboat among them . . . all outboards and mud motors. :violent1:

One a brighter note, looks like you got that 472 running like he ought to. There is no question that's a lot of boat. :salute:

Yes so far so good with the new airboat! Runs good with no real issues so far, can even run a little dry!!! Best boating experience I’ve ever had, should have done an airboat along time ago....

Water levels are and yes people are still leaving there shit all over the place if that helps a year later?

It is a great time to stay the hell away from the Eagle or Potts.

Hunting season and Dragon Boat races.

So, when is a good time? Last time I was there I was 16 and couldn’t catch a fish. Ate Armadillo for a week.
I grew up thinking that I-10 was the Mason Dixon line.

Next Friday things should be back to normal for a while. Think 12/1 is a big gathering in Eagle so if your looking to avoid the crowds don't come then.
