Water is getting low. Water in the main trails but dry spots are starting to pop up at the landing. Water is 1 ft lower than this time last year. As of 12/04 still a nice ride pretty much everywhere. Tons of roseate spoonbills all over and the fishing is great! Going back out for 5 days or so next weekend and will post an update. :toothy7:

Hey Scotty, We went out from the 1st until the 4th. Sorry we didn’t get a chance to visit. Just me and Scott cleaning up the camp and trying to do some frogging. Alternator on the boat had other plans but still did a good bit of day riding out to the east. I will keep you posted on the water situation but it looks like a short season this year. Going out next weekend and will try for New Years but we need some rain if that’s going to happen. The way it looks we may be able to drive the truck to the camp in a month or 2. :D Maybe we will see you out there if we go four wheeling this year. Take care!

No we didn’t do good at all. I think the frogs are all down south closer to 41 already. The fishing was great though. :)

Update as of 12/19 Water level still low but had no problem putting in off L28 and getting to camp. Plenty of water in the main trails. Frogs are calling for rain so we are headed back out after Christmas and staying until New Years. :toothy7:

Scotty 1 : I'm in area 2A just NE of that area. I'm big time into frogging when I can. I live here. I keep in contact with friends that frog also and go to areas around me We share info to keep up on the latest in our areas. 3A north and south of the Ally is drying up fast. A good contact south of the Ally did not do well on a 7 hour run. (less than 20 lbs dressed out. Another DAY ride said that he ran some dry areas. That's at the 35 and 41 mile markers. Area 3 north is dry. WE still have water in 2A but drying fast. Frogs are up here but not in quantity. Hope this helps.

:rebel: Hey there NEWOLDGLORY yes sir I kind of know who you are I've been reading your posts on here for years . We are in a camp in the res, But I live north of Gainesville so I just try to find out what's going on down that way on here. Was down there probably around five or six times this last year for 11 to 12 days each trip and never could really get into the frogs this year usually around this time of year we do pretty good , But the water is all most gone now I hope this will not be our new normal situation. But I remember reading a article some where they were going to raise the 41 canal like 6 inches and it would be dry 6 months and wet 6 months.( I SURE HOPE THIS IS NOT THE CASE ) but thanks for the info new old glory :rebel: AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Water levels as of 01/02/19 off L28 are low. Water in the main trails, still safe to enter and exit the canal at the tower and 1st swimming hole. The inside trail from general g's is dries up right before the pea soup camp. Not sure how much longer the area will be usable without some rain. As of now it is still accessible but drying up pretty fast. Happy New Year Everyone!

Water to the south towards 41 is good. The ridge between the swimming hole and the Hilton is starting to show dry spots but still very accessible. Getting into the swimming canal is fine but starting to bump rocks on the edge. No grinding just a few bumps no big deal. Off L28 on the reservation water is spotty but the main trail is ok but not for much longer. Dry spots are starting to pop up in a few places. Still no decent frogs but plenty of little ones.

Going out of the 40 mile bend tomorrow. Should be a nice day with plenty of water. Bundle up, though. Gonna be crisp.

Water came up some. Only rode about 7-8 miles north. Plenty of water.

The water came up 4 to 6 inches. Getting in and out of the canal was tight. Frogs are thick. Sunday was a good rain day. The video is from Sunday evening. This video is out by the tower - Hilton etc... :rebel:

Scotty 1 I was out to my camp on Monday after the Broward show and there was plenty of water. My camp is just north of the pipeline 5 marker at the end of the that large strand. M8552 the liars den camp. We ran from the the large rest area on the alley.

Scotty I was at camp 2 weekends ago and the water was perfect. Our camp is on the north end of the rez. One of the farthest north so we get skinny quick. Rode down to swimming hole and water was fine. Should've actually come up a bit more w/that last bit of rain we had.
