72" vs 74" NGQ

Postby flcracker9 » Mon Feb 11, 2019 8:55 am

I tried searching, but the search option didn't like 72" vs 74", so here's the question(s). I currently run a 72" NGQ on the boat in my sig. It's set at the 2-3/4 mark, and it turns 2800 on the trailer. I've run it set from 2-1/4 to 2-3/4, and it seems to push best at 2-3/4. I recently purchased a medium hub fairly cheap, which when installed, would make my prop 74" (I have plenty of cage). I'm looking for a little more low end push, don't care about top end, so what are the pros and cons of going to a 74"?

" I don't care who you are back in the world, you give away our position one more time, I'll bleed ya, real quiet. Leave ya here. Got that? "
