Whirlwind sw vs sensenich S
Whirlwind sw vs sensenich S
Anybody have a comparison on how the whirlwind SW compares to the sensenich S blade. Might need to add a blade and would consider the change considering the S seems to be low on the production priority list anymore.

Re: Whirlwind sw vs sensenich S
The Whirlwind like more rpm and tend to push more on the top. Had a buddy do a direct swap.
The S blades pushed very well down low and up the power curve.
We recently tried a new carbon fiber JX race set up and it was a great prop. It needed a bit more rpm over the S blades but when it came in range the snap was better than the S set up. The S feels like a soft steady push the JX feels like a bump when it comes in to range. The JX appeared to offer about the same top rpm thrust based on SOP observation. We were in a heavy loaded 16ft and the JX made it look easy to break ground.
I am keeping the S blades fyi

I have 3 blades at 14 degrees and a 2.3 belt. Changing to a 2.67 belt.

Pain we run 4 blades the S (81.5) have the pitch marks and they are pitched at a 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 then with the new JX (82) they are the narrow shank design and are set by degrees. I can't recall the exact degree setting we settled on in the testing as we bounced around but I think it was in the 25-28 degree range.
The JX blades were the full carbon light weigh race version borrowed of a twin turbo LS build a buddy is doing. He was pretty impressed with the way they acted Russ they just snapped up in an instant. They made my boat sportier
