Top Speed

Post by Msa4x4 »

Just wanted to see what everyone's top speed is on their boat, just for fun. List your specs and speed so we can see some comparisons.

My top speed is right around 80 mph in the skinny at 19 degree pitch at 5500 RPM. i have never adjusted prop to see if i can get more, fast enough for me.

Yes, it can be alarming if not used to it. When you really stretch them out you run completely out of steering. Only want to try it in wide, open places. But after you do it a number of times it can be quite an adrenaline rush.

I’ve had mine up in the mid-40’s a few times. That isn’t close to wide open, but it’s faster than I need to go.

I'm with these dudes, 2 MPH on ground looking for deer crossings, 30 MPH on ground if my dogs are pushing game and I am sitting the wrong crossing or they are heading for a gator hole, 90 MPH on the highway if I got up late and the sun is breaking the horizon. :violent1:
I still think I-10 is the Mason Dixon line.

70 mph on the way to the ramp, 20 mph 95% of the time on the water, that's the sweet spot for me. Any faster than that I miss too much scenery.
