SA Downtime

Post by rick »

I apologize for the downtime.

The SA server had a major crash and it has taken the web host this long to get it back up & running. Been sittin here like a lame duck not being able to a damn thing. The so called backups that this host uses as a selling feature were of no use to me since it was about 70 gigabytes.

I will definitely be making some changes in hosting, as well as off site backups.

Glad to see you are back up and running. People don't realize these things take care and can go belly up at any time and they are not fun to get back up and running.

Thanks for the hard work putting humpty dumpty back together again. But I'm starting to think that you should just do a 1-2 week shut down every so often so we all go airboating for homework.

Here is my report on my summer vacation.

I got to go hang out with FishSticker and check out his part of the swamp. Flag Lilies and Cyprus knees everywhere. I love the colors in the swamp, most folks don't realize how vibrant they can be. They tell me that all of this used to be open and full of ducks, but now the lilies, elephant ears and hyacinth have taken over. Water was pushing in hard from the storm that hit South Texas last week, topping out the docks when I left to head on to Texas.

The Sticker has a cool ass Treehouse Camp that he just got done building with Dad and Son :thumbleft:

It really is a tree house:

Great solution using shower curtains to keep the rain on the tree and out of camp

Kwan, a cognition test for you, see if you can pick the word that doesn't belong:

Airboat
AV Gas
Magnetos (2)
Cooler
Beer
Fish
Frog
Deer
Software

He just received a new ECU & Harness so he might be trying it out now. I'm sure he will be surprised, I slipped a couple Viagra into the tank to get it out of Limp mode.
